Successful sealing in tunnel construction – with flexible 1C injection resin against water ingress
In a recent tunnel construction project, water leaks at the segment covers/plugs posed a particular challenge.
The solution: a flexible, fast-reacting 1-component injection resin system – WILLSTOP® Flex+ – in combination with a lightweight, electrically operated injection pump.
The injections were carried out in a targeted manner using a 500 mm long lance with a ramming tip (Ø inside >6 mm, Ø outside 10 mm), which was inserted around 40 cm into the pearl gravel through the covers.
The result: an effective seal even against pressurized water.
