The Geomechanics Colloquium & Tunnel Day 2026 will take place from October 8 to 9, 2026, at the Salzburg Congress in Salzburg and is one of the key specialist events for geomechanics, rock mechanics, and tunnel construction in Central Europe. The annual event has established itself as an important meeting place for experts from research, planning, and practice, regularly attracting several hundred participants. The focus is on current challenges and innovations in geomechanics, including sustainability in geotechnical engineering, monitoring during construction and operation, and operational aspects of infrastructure. The 15th Austrian Tunnel Day will take place in the run-up to the colloquium, presenting the latest technical concepts and developments in tunnel construction.

Held every three years, the event is one of the most important industry gatherings for underground construction in Europe and is a must-attend event for professionals involved in the design, construction, and operation of underground infrastructure.
The congress brings together project managers, engineers, architects, urban planners, construction companies, suppliers, and safety and insurance professionals. Under the theme “New challenges, underground solutions,” it will highlight how the underground can make a significant contribution to meeting current social, technical, and urban challenges.

For years, injection technology has been a proven method for repairing damage to the waterproofing of structures in contact with the ground.
It is also often the method of choice for building sites. In addition to waterproofing, it can reliably perform tasks such as consolidation, stabilization, and lifting. Injection technology is often the technically and economically superior method. Since the first Injection Technology Forum in 2014, the event has developed into an industry gathering. It brings together everyone involved in construction: building owners, specialist planners, contractors, equipment suppliers, and the supply industry. In 2026, the event at the Maternushaus in Cologne will once again combine lectures and a trade exhibition and invite participants to engage in intensive networking.
The Injection Technology Forum 2026 will showcase practical technical solutions, provide information on how to avoid mistakes, and present regulations and legal frameworks. It will also address aspects such as environmental compatibility and digitalization, including Building Information Modeling (BIM).
