Accountant with experience in consolidation (m/f/d)
For our holding company based in Dortmund, we are seeking an experienced financial accountant (m/f/d) with in-depth knowledge of preparing individual and consolidated financial statements, as well as consolidation.
The role covers two internationally active corporate groups with different industrial focuses. The JMBG Group brings together several medium-sized companies in the field of polyurethane chemistry, each with different specialisms and international business relationships, under one umbrella. The remit also includes the internationally active Pulp-Tec Group, a leading provider of sustainable packaging and fibre moulding solutions.

What we expect
Independent preparation, coordination and quality assurance of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
Preparing and compiling the consolidated financial statements for our group of companies
Carrying out and further developing the monthly, quarterly and annual group consolidation
Reconciliation, clarification and documentation of intercompany matters
Acting as the central point of contact for auditors, tax advisers and other external partners
Contributing to the preparation of forecasts, liquidity planning and group-wide financial reporting
Further development of financial statement, consolidation, reporting and interface processes
Identifying and implementing opportunities for optimisation and digitalisation in accounting
Your skills
- A successfully completed commercial apprenticeship with further training as a qualified accountant (m/f/d) or a comparable qualification
- Alternatively, a degree with a specialisation in accounting, finance, controlling or a comparable field
- Several years’ professional experience in financial accounting, ideally within a holding company, corporate group or an internationally active medium-sized enterprise
- In-depth knowledge of the German Commercial Code (HGB) and a sound understanding of accounting and financial processes within international structures (knowledge of IFRS is an advantage)
- Proven experience with intercompany matters, group consolidation and cross-border corporate structures
- Knowledge of national and international tax law, particularly VAT
- Experience in forecasting, reporting and liquidity planning at group or corporate level
- Strong strategic thinking combined with a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact confidently on an equal footing with senior management, investors and external partners
- An affinity for digitalisation, automation and the use of AI-supported processes in the finance sector
- Very good written and spoken German and English
