Purchaser (m/f/d)
F. Willich GmbH + Co. KG is a medium-sized family-owned company in the chemical industry with over 140 years of experience in the development and production of specialized materials. We are looking for you to join our team in Dortmund and help us further develop our purchasing department!

What we expect
You will be immersed in an area that is currently evolving and that you will actively help to shape. Your future tasks will include:
- Ensuring that demand is met: creating orders, tracking them, and keeping a reliable eye on delivery dates
- Analyzing stock movements and checking minimum/maximum stock levels for selected products
- Procurement optimization via Power BI and our ERP system – data-driven, forward-looking, and economical
- Operational supplier management: tracking deadlines, clarifying processes, communication, and complaint handling
- Evaluating suppliers in terms of manageability, process reliability, and dependability
- Maintaining and checking article and shelf life data in the ERP system
- Support in price negotiations and enabler in contract management
- Collaboration in the further development of our purchasing processes
- Identification, evaluation, and minimization of risks along the supply chain
Your skills
- Completed commercial training, ideally as an industrial clerk (m/f/d), or technical training with additional commercial qualifications
- Initial experience in purchasing, materials management, or scheduling, or solid practical experience (e.g., internship/working study program)
- Confident use of MS Office and ERP systems; interest in data-driven processes (Power BI is a plus)
- Technical interest and good commercial understanding, in particular confident handling of numbers
- Structured, solution-oriented and independent way of working
- High degree of customer and service orientation
- Team spirit, friendly and confident manner, reliability and resilience
- Very good German skills and good written and spoken English skills
